Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information DPC Latency Checker ("we", "us", "this site") collects when you visit, the contact form you submit, and the choices you have. By using this site, you agree to the practices described below.
Information we collect
- Contact form submissions: name, email address, and message content when you reach out via our Contact page.
- Newsletter sign-ups: your email address only, used to send updates about new or updated software listings.
- Usage data: standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used only in aggregate to understand site traffic.
- Cookies: we may use basic cookies to remember preferences (e.g. search filters). We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles.
How we use this information
We use the information above solely to respond to your messages, send the updates you signed up for, and improve this site's content and performance. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
Third-party downloads
When you click a Download button, you are directed to the actual software installer. We test and scan each listing before publishing, but once a file leaves our server, that software's own publisher is responsible for its behavior and any data it may separately collect during installation or use. We recommend reviewing the installer's own license terms before running it.
Data retention
Contact form messages and newsletter email addresses are kept only as long as needed to respond to you or fulfill the purpose you signed up for. You can request deletion at any time (see below).
Your rights
- You can ask what personal data we hold about you.
- You can ask us to correct or delete that data.
- You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send.
